Hi! Sorry I have been MIA for the last few days, but a couple of community events have kept me very busy. Saturday evening my husband and I, along with my parents, attended an event at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The evening began in the Peck Courtyard where we enjoyed cocktails and hors’deourves. Then we proceeded to the Amaturo Theater where we feasted on surf and turf while sipping champagne and fine wine. After dinner we enjoyed the Diana Krall concert with the absolute best seats in the theater. There were specialty coffees offered following the performance. Tickets to this spectacular event were $500.00 per person. As longtime owners of the finest resort in Fort Lauderdale we strongly believe in supporting the community. Also, we have always believed in not only selling our resort but also our destination. The Broward Center for the Performing Arts , which consists of two theaters of over 3000 seats with year-round , world- renowned performances, is one of our premier attractions. We are so lucky to be located less that 10 minutes away and so happy to celebrate it’s 20 year anniversary, referred to as “Twenty years of applause”!!
The second community event that I spoke about was last night. My husband and I hosted the Pine Crest Father’s Club Stone Crab Dinner at our home. We had close to 100 men come to our home last evening for stone crabs, tequila chicken, baked potatoes loaded with anything you could dream of , caesar salad, and my home made cherry pie. It was a huge success, and I am totally exhausted…. Anyways… As owners of Lago Mar we are constantly giving back to the community. Tomorrow I will report about the wine dinner we had last night in Aquario. Eventhough I could not be there personally because of the Pine Crest School party I will still tell you about the menu. I was very disappointed to miss the wine dinner….. Deb
