The Super Moon Over Lago Mar

Hi!  Saint Patty's Day was a huge success at the resort!  Last night was the Super Moon.  This is a phenomenon where the moon is the closest to the earth.  It only happens every 18 years.  It was also brighter than it usually is.  Combine all of this with the fact that it occurred on a Saturday night and what do you get???  A PARTY!!  The super moon started rising at about 7:44 and that is when people started their ...

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day

Hi! I spent all morning cleaning up my kids' rooms because that leprechaun made such a mess.  He unloaded drawers and moved toys, and the books.... they were all over the place.  He also used their bathrooms because there was gold dust in each toilet.  They were so excited about his mischief that they barely noticed the necklaces, pins, coins, and toys that he left.  It was quite the morning!    After everything was back in order I ran over ...

Leprechaun Comes Tonight!

Hi! I forgot to mention that we have entertainment tomorrow night during our St. Patrick's Day Party.  I absolutely can not wait to see the great green outfits that everyone will be  wearing and try the delicious food.  My kids especially love  all the silly party favors!!  I am NOT looking forward to the mess that the Leprechaun makes tonight at my house.  Every year he comes in through the window and makes a MESS of the kids' rooms.  He ...

Paradise Pedicure

Hi!   I finally had the chance to have my Paradise Pedicure today.  It was exactly as it is named.  I was able to get in at the last minute because it was absolutely beautiful today, so everyone wanted to be outside.  I was happy to receive an hour of total relaxation.  I sat in one our state-of -the art chairs and turned on the massage while slipping my feet into the tub of water containing coconut milk bath soak. ...

Friday Night at Lago

Hi! Friday night we had so much fun at Lago Mar. First, Demi had a tennis lesson with Jeff Chanin, our tennis pro of 20 years. I can only tell you that everyone young and old loves to work with him. (I have even heard some ladies say they have trouble keeping their eyes on the ball when he is teaching!) Demi and he played on one of our four courts. We have two courts on top of the parking garage ...

My Caviar Facial

Hi! I decided to treat myself to a facial yesterday instead of the Paradise Pedicure because both of our nail technicians were booked. What a luxurious experience! The technician began by removing my eye make-up with a cucumber cleanser containing green tea and chamomile. To cleanse my face, neck, and décolletage she used a timeless balm cleanser, which contained caviar extract, lemon peel oil and chamomile. This cleanser serves to repair, brighten, tone, de-stress, and soothe. After doing Disney and Universal ...

What We Love About Lago Mar

Hi! My husband and I just took our kids to Disney/Universal for their school vacation. They had a blast! We did, too… even though it was so expensive. The resort was expensive. Daily admission to the parks with four kids was insane. While walking through one of the parks, it occurred to me that once a family gets to Lago Mar they are basically entertained without any additional charges. Most of our families spend every day of their vacation at either the ...

Dinner on Las Olas

Hi! Last night my girls and I took a guest and her daughter who have been staying at Lago Mar for over 10 years out on Las Olas. I could not believe it, but they had never been to the beautiful shopping and dining street located less than 10 minutes from the resort. In fact, they didn't even know that it existed! This made the outing even more exciting. We arrived at the Japanese Village Hibachi Steak House and were seated ...
