Fourth of July was one of the Best!!

Hi!  Sorry it took me so long to report about 4th of July but I need to say that it was definitely the best ever!  The weather was absolutely perfect all day and night. During the day we had the steel drummer by the pool, which everyone loved.  When he left our guitarist, Craig Fitch, play through the evening.  At about nine our guests and members gathered down on the beach with chairs and big beach blankets and enjoyed the ...

Response to Facebook Friend about “T-bone and Fries”

Hi!    I love getting comments to my blog!!!   I wanted to write this entry in response to Pete Barrett's inquiry about whether there was a t-bone and fries on our menu.   We actually have a 6 oz. beef tenderloin on our new menu, which I had to try in order  to report to you how delicious it is.  It comes with a celery root puree, caramelized shallot butter, and fig cabernet glaze.  Not only does it taste ...

New Menu In Acquario

Hi!  A couple of friends joined me Friday evening for a delicious dinner..  Our new menu is out and we are getting great revues!!!  For starters our group feasted on tequila lime shrimp and braised short rib with butternut squash ravioli.  For my main course I tried the local swordfish, which was served blackened with plantain jasmine rice and avocado pineapple relish.  I enjoyed every bite and had to force myself to save room for dessert.  Guy, our server, exhibited ...

Lunching at the Promenade Bar

Hi!  I am sitting at one of the tables near the Promenade Bar with a girlfriend of mine enjoying the most delicious lunch while we watch our kids play together on the playground.  My friend is loving her Way Asian Salad, which consists of mixed greens, mandarin oranges, water chestnuts, cashews, carrots, cherry tomatoes, grilled chicken, and sesame ginger vinaigrette.  It looks amazing.  I actually made up my own lunch today.  I ordered mixed greens with a beautiful piece of ...

My Red Cross Experience

Hi!  I am sorry that a few hours turned into a few days......I had such a wonderful time last weekend at my first Red Cross Summit.  I am so grateful to be part of such an amazing group of intelligent, dynamic women.  I   already mentioned that Laura Bush spoke to us.  She captivated everyone's attention.  I don't think there was a sound in the room the whole entire time she addressed us.  Saturday we had a beautiful brunch in ...

Happy Memorial Day!!!

Hi!  Sorry I have been MIA.... Demi has been sick with bronchitis and of course I caught it too!!  It has been awful. Yesterday we were both feeling better, and all the other kids were going stir crazy so we voted unanimously to go to Lago Mar for the day.  What a day it was!!   The weather was  absolutely perfect... not a cloud in the sky and a slight breeze.  The ocean was like a lake... we had so ...

First Annual Farm Night for Members

Hi!  I can't wait until Sunday afternoon for our First Annual Farm Night for the members.  At 5:00 many farm animals will prance by the Promenade Bar and settle in under the Tiki Hut.  The ponies will proceed down the beach where the children will have the opportunity to go for a ride almost down to the ocean and back  This makes for a beautiful picture and a lot of fun!  Also, we will have a buffet set up for ...

Rose Facial in Spa

Hi!  I had the most incredible facial on Friday in the Spa.  It was the Rose facial that was part of The Mother's Day Package.  I have never felt so relaxed and pampered before...  Clara, our esthetician, was fabulous!  She first evaluated my skin and then began my facial by cleansing my face with a rose RS2 for sensitive skin.  After that she exfoliated.  A light micro-seaweed mask was then applied. While the mask was working it's wonders on my ...
