Hi! Spring is definitely in the air and all of our guests are arriving Easter at Lago Mar! The weather is absolutely beautiful and the property looks amazing!
Easter at Lago Mar
The first Children’s activity for Easter Week resort guests starts tomorrow evening. It’s Farm Night. There will be a complimentary buffet for all of the kids that are staying at the resort and of course, the farm animals will be under the Tiki Hut for everyone to enjoy! My kids are so excited. They have their western outfits all set out and ready to go!
We are actually out of school this whole week, so we plan on spending most of our time with friends over at Lago Mar. The kids can’t wait to have cheeseburgers and chili cheese fries at the Ocean Grill, then take their friends for ice cream cones at The Soda Shop. I can’t wait to have the wild salmon from Acquario and a glass of Cakebread Chardonnay.
One evening I may take some of our guests off property for dinner at Market 17. It is about a 2-3 minute drive from the resort and is described as a farm-to-table organic restaurant. The atmosphere is casual elegance, which is exactly how we describe ourselves. Demi and I dined there a couple of day ago. She tried the herb roasted free-range chicken with cilantro basmati rice and grilled bell peppers and I ordered the rare seared local wahoo. The red rice herb roasted sweet potatoes that came with the wahoo were to die for. As we were eating, the server was telling us about their famous “Dining in the Dark” evening. This is where guests dine in a pitch-black room using only their sense of taste. I think it sounds interesting. I will let you know how it is when I try it!
Happy Spring, Deb
