Hi! I am so excited that the Super Bowl is less than one week away! Chef Phil must be excited too because he has prepared a special menu, beginning at 5:00 pm, for the Big Game. Some of his additions to the regular menu are Loaded Potato Skins, Fried Mozzarella Sticks, Flat Bread Pizza, Beef Tenderloin and BBQ Chicken Quesadillas, Manhattan Beef Sliders and Manchego Cheese Spinach Dip. This is making me so so hungry!
All of the specials will be available in both The Promenade Bar and the Wine Cellar Lounge. Also, in the Wine Cellar Lounge. we will have 2 additional 42 inch flat screen HD televisions set up for our football fans. The Promenade Bar, which usually closes at 9:00 pm, will stay open until the end of the game.
Of course, there will be decorations to get us all in a festive mood! Last year, Demi and Dani played America the Beautiful on their cellos right before the game started but unfortunately Demi is still recuperating from her broken collarbone, so we will have to wait until the next holiday for a performance from them.
I personally love to watch the Super Bowl at Lago Mar because I can watch the game with friends while my four kids are having a blast with their friends on the playground, putt-putt golf and shuffle board courts. It is a win-win situation…no pun intended!
