Thanksgiving Four Course Dinner

Lago Mar

Lago Mar's Chef Phil

Hi!  I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is next week!!!   We are so excited to welcome back our guests that have been coming back year after year, as well as our new guests!   We are always so happy to see our members enjoying our property, too.  This year Chef Phil has come up with an amazing menu for our guests and members to experience on Thanksgiving Day.  He starts out with a choice of either Fall Harvest Soup, a vegetable soup with black rice, or pumpkin Soup.  Next there are two salads to choose from;  the apple walnut salad, which is made up of mixed baby greens, grape tomato, dried cranberries, cucumber, crumbled blue cheese, and  apple cider vinaigrette or the roasted beet salad, which is spinach, arugula, raspberries, carrot curls, oranges, tomato, cucumber, and raspberry vinaigrette.  For the main course, our members and guests can choose to feast on the traditional roasted Thanksgiving Dinner of stuffing, buttermilk mashed creamers, green beans, baby carrots, brussel sprouts, red pepper, and cranberry sauce or they can dig into a slow roasted prime rib with port wine glaze, buttermilk mashed creamers, braised red cabbage, green beans, baby carrots, brussel sprouts ,and red pepper.  How many days until Thanksgiving????  For our seafood lovers Chef Phil features an olive oil poached sea bass.  To accompany this delicious fish is a sweet potato butternut squash souffle, green beans, baby carrots, brussel sprouts, red pepper, and a citrus sauce.  If one is not completely stuffed at this point there is apple pie, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, carrot cake, chocolate cream pie, and assorted miniatures.  What a feast this will be!!!!!  Tomorrow I will tell you about the complimentary children’s program we have next week for the hotel guests.   Have a good night!!!
