Hi! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We were really busy at the resort and, except for a couple showers on Thursday, the weather was absolutely gorgeous. It was so nice to catch up with all of our repeat guests. My kids had the best time reuniting with our younger guests who they have played with year after year, all of their lives. Throughout the year they even keep in contact through Snapchat and Instagram. I think Chipper and Sailor’s group actually spent over 5 hours on the basketball court Friday and Saturday! The girls enjoyed their visiting friends down on the beach under an umbrella since the ocean was so calm and inviting.
Speaking of the ocean, Wednesday evening was wonderful with Keely’s Yoga Class down on the beach. It was so cool to see over 24 Yogis practicing with the ocean in the background and a perfect breeze. After the smoothies were served and it got dark, Beauty and The Beast was featured on a gigantic outdoor movie screen on the Beach Playground. All of the kids had glow-in-the dark rings and bracelets on and a bag of popcorn in their hand, complimentary of the resort. Friday, we had a photo booth in the Ocean Grill, which was a huge hit, and Jozeph, the Strolling Magician, was back to entertain our guests and members from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. We are still trying to figure out he performs his tricks.
Although I did not have the opportunity to actually enjoy Chef Phil’s Feast in Acquario (I was cooking at home for my clan), I did hear rave reviews from guests and members about the food and the service! Now Chef is getting ready for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve! In my next blog, I will share with you some of his menus.
